Her Life Her Canvas- Expressive Art Healing Program
“Her Life, Her Canvas: Survivors supporting Survivors” is an art-based peer to peer support group for women and youth survivors of violence coordinated and delivered by Interim Place. The group provides women and youth with a safe space where they can meet and provide mutual support to one another in a place which promotes respect, trust and warmth and empowers these individuals to make changes and decisions to enhance their lives through the use of arts-based therapy methods i.e. poetry, crafting, painting, photography and drumming. We will be hosting our final art gallery event on October 11th, 2016 in acknowledgement of ‘International Day of the Girl.’ If you would like more information about the event and/or the possibility of registering for our final community programs this Fall, please contact the Project Coordinator, Siobhan Laverdiere, at firstname.lastname@example.org “
