3rd Rays of Hope Gala 2015
Thank you for making Interim Place’s 3rd Annual Rays of Hope Gala a success!
With every event comes a lot of time, effort and resources. The wonderful event would not have been possible without the support of our Silver Sponsors Phantom Screens, our table sponsors Peel Police Services Board, Peel Regional Police, Royal Lepage Realty Plus, CCIG Group, Remax Legacy, Investor’s Group and Enersource.
Thank you to the many in-kind supporters of tonight’s event. Special mention to Ruthie Lamb, Kim Wilhelm, Maria Quinn, Krystal Maracle, Gianette Celluci and the entire Fundraising Committee and volunteer students from the Sheridan College Social Service Worker Program led by Farheen Khan for putting together such a wonderful event. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Farheen Khan for all of her hard work, dedication and commitment as the Manager of Development at Interim Place over the past 3 years. As you move on in your journey to continue to do amazing things in our community we wish you much success!!
Thank you to all our award recipients for their ongoing support and contributions towards Interim Place. To all the special dignitaries that attended the event tonight including Mayor Bonnie Crombie. MP Brad Butt, Chief Jennifer Evans, MP Stella Ambler and Councillor Nando Iannica . Thank you also to Cathrine Ann our Key note speaker and Woman of Courage Award Recipient.
Thank you to our wonderful Emcee Rachael Lea Rickards and our amazing Auctioneers Barb Richards and Krista Richards of a Touch of Class. Thank you to all of the organizers, staff and volunteers who assisted with the event.
Last but certainly not least to our audience, our community for believing in the work we do and for taking a stand with us tonight to make a statement that women fleeing violence have the support of their community.

Her Life Her Canvas, My Life My Canvas and more!
“Her Life, Her Canvas: Survivors supporting Survivors” is an art-based peer to peer support group for women and youth survivors of violence (any type, not only domestic violence) and abuse coordinated and delivered by Interim Place. The group provides women and youth with a safe space where they can meet and provide mutual support to one another in a place which promotes respect, trust and warmth and empowers these individuals to make changes and decisions to enhance their lives through the use of arts-based therapy methods i.e. poetry, crafting, painting, photography and drumming.
