Volunteer
"Volunteers light up our communities."
Volunteer Program
Interim Place has a commitment to maintaining volunteerism throughout the organization. This will be reflected at the Board and on Board committees, in the programs and services, in the area of administration and for special events. We encourage applications from all women in keeping with our mission and vision. Interim Place is committed to the development of an agency that reflects the women it serves as such applications from Aboriginal Women, World Majority Women/Women of Colour, Lesbians, Bisexual Women Transgendered Women and Women with Disabilities are strongly encouraged.
Volunteers work in a variety of capacities with the common goal to end poverty, violence, homelessness and oppression in the lives of women and children in our community. We ask for a minimum time commitment of 8 hours per month for a one year period.
We have regular volunteer meetings and we will reimburse for volunteer expenses such as travel.
To our volunteers…Thank you all for “lightening up our communities”, your valuable time, expertise, skills and dedication you bring to us assist us to “Close the door on abuse and open the door to hope”
