Our Herstory

Interim Place has been providing shelter and support services for women in Peel Region who face violence for over 34 years. In 1979, the Social Planning Council of Peel Region identified the need for a shelter and Interim Place was born.

Our goal is to end violence against women through; responsive, accessible, services and supports, public education and action and advocacy to address the social, economic and political conditions that create violence in the lives of women and children.

Our Vision: A world free of violence. A world where there is justice and peace.
